BONAFYDS was born from a deeply personal frustration. Our founders experienced firsthand the challenges of building in Nigeria — contractors who disappeared with deposits, projects that stalled for months, and quotation prices that seemed to change on a whim. The construction industry, which should be a pillar of national development, was instead a source of anxiety and financial loss for too many Nigerians.
In 2023, we set out to build a platform that would fundamentally change the relationship between construction clients and professionals. We believed that technology — specifically verification, AI analysis, and milestone-based accountability — could transform an industry that had operated the same way for decades.
